So you’ve purchased or rented your textbook from Chegg, but while you wait for it to arrive, you still have reading to do. Starting September 6, Chegg will make the e-textbook available for 7 days for an additional $1.99, so you can start reading before the mailman comes. This is according to a blog on Mashable published Sept. 1, 2011. The feature is not available as a stand-alone feature—you can’t just rent an e-book for a week without buying (or renting) the textbook, and it is not available for every title. In fact, at this point it’s only available for about 10% of its titles. Find Chegg here.
