Library’s Circulation to the Rescue
October 19, 2011
Nicholas DeBadts (USF ’13) is a psychology major for whom textbook cost is a critical issue. He receives financial aid and qualifies for the Advance Purchase Plan, allowing him to use financial aid dollars to purchase textbooks from the USF Bookstore. Without this plan, he would have difficulty purchasing all of the textbooks he needs. Nicholas supplements this with the library’s circulating textbooks. These are usually older editions that are comparable to the latest. Renewals allow him to keep these for the entire semester. In the future, he plans to use textbooks on reserve at the library and thinks it would be good to have textbooks on reserve for more courses.
