USF Textbook Reserves Save the Day
October 25, 2011
Mayra Morfin (USF ’13) is pursuing a double major in psychology and public health and textbook cost is an issue for her. When she was a freshman, she thought paying full price at the bookstore was her only option. The following summer, Mayra learned about textbooks on reserve at the library from her psychology professor. Now she uses textbook reserves whenever she can and she rents textbooks at a lower cost than purchasing. She also shares and swaps books with her friends who take the same courses in different semesters. Mayra finds the textbook reserve collection at the library a great find that is not publicized enough, so now she tells all her friends about it.
