In response to concerns about the rising cost of textbooks and instructional materials at the University of South Florida, USF System President Judy Genshaft and Provost Ralph Wilcox formed the USF Tampa Textbook Affordability Task Force. The purpose of the Task Force is to reduce students costs associated with course materials while preserving high-quality learning outcomes for all USF students. Co-chaired by Dean Moez Limayem, Muma College of Business, and Dean Todd Chavez, USF Libraries, the Task Force will carefully consider strategies to drive reductions in textbook costs through fostering faculty engagement, creating new guidelines for textbook adoptions, and/or altering existing textbook affordability policies.
